Visit Olive Museum
The Olive Museum is located at the “House of Olive-Oleastro”. Explicitly, it is part of the traditional Cypriot Neighborhood.
The Museum is divided into two thematic parts:
1. olive and olive oil history from prehistoric times until today
2. the evolution of technology as far as expression of olive oil is concerned and its role in agricultural communities. “Old objects for expressing olive oil, such as traditional mill-stone, press and many more related to agricultural life” are exhibited.
“Oleastro” biological olive oil is sold at the shop of the museum, as well as several traditional local products, such as carob-honey. Olive oil and all other traditional products are packed in such a way that could be given as presents and souvenirs.
